Michael J. Murphy was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2000. Since that time he has concentrated his practice primarily in transactional matters involving residential and commercial real estate, estate planning (wills, trusts & estates), and business development, including entity selection and formation. Mr. Murphy majored in International Studies at DePaul University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in 1997. Following DePaul he studied law at IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 2000. In 2005 he also attained the distinction of becoming a Certified Relocation Professional.
Mr. Murphy is an active member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Employee Relocation Council and the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce. He believes strongly in continuing legal education and regularly attends accredited programs on current legal trends. In addition, Mr. Murphy frequently presents seminars on legal topics related to his areas of concentration.
